If there’s one thing we love here at Rock Radio, it’s a straight-talking legend.
And you don’t get a rock star more hardworking or straight-talking than Status Quo’s Francis Rossi. He doodled his way – literally, he was scribbling away furiously – through an exclusive Rocktober interview in which he bluntly stated that the Quo are not a patch on The Beatles (despite breaking one of their world records) and that he is no guitar nerd.
He said: “I’m not one of those men who wants to be buried with his guitar – it’s a lump of wood with a pick up on it!”
But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t spend many hours every day on it....
Rossi told Berry he practices for around four hours every day... even practicing after gigs.
“But don’t you spend ‘relaxing’ with ladies and other relaxants after gigs?” an incredulous Berry asked.
“No. I would quite like to live for a few more years
